Frequently Asked Questions about Sauerkraut
- How to store sauerkraut?
Sauerkraut is delivered at room temperature. The sealed jar can be kept in the pantry. After opening, keep your sauerkraut in the fridge.
- Can sauerkraut be heated?
Of course, sauerkraut can be enjoyed cold or warm. A simple recipe is to slow cook sauerkraut with spices (star anise, juniper berries, cinnamon) and vegetable broth.
- Are all sauerkraut probiotic?
Traditionally, sauerkraut is fermented cabbage, so yes. However, some brands call “sauerkraut” a jar of sliced cabbage with some salt – which isn’t fermented. So review the individual brand information before purchasing.

The best sauerkraut you can find in Singapore. Really tangy and crips, it’s so good you can eat it on its own. Also I appreciated the prompt delivery.

Taste like home (Germany) and i love to war it cold as a snack or warm as a side dish to a proper meal. It comes in a basic version with no fancy spices which makes it even more yummy and you can still prep it in your favorit way. Will order again!
